Riccardo Staudt, a 22-year-old German adult-content creator known professionally as Noah Segsy, has died after drowning in a swimming pool in Cyprus.

Staudt was found unconscious in the pool of an apartment complex in the Paralimni area of Cyprus on the evening of August 24, according to Cypriot reporting. Emergency services were called at approximately 9:20 p.m., after which an ambulance took him to Famagusta General Hospital.

Doctors at the hospital pronounced Staudt dead. A post-mortem examination subsequently concluded that the cause of death was drowning.

The death was initially reported by Cypriot media as that of an unidentified 22-year-old German tourist. His identity and connection to the Noah Segsy name became public in subsequent reporting.

Investigation continues

Although the medical cause of death has been established, the precise circumstances that led to Staudt’s drowning remain under investigation. The investigation has been assigned to police in Paralimni, who are examining how he came to be in distress in the water.

Cyprus Mail reported that toxicology results were still pending when it published its account of the death. Later reports likewise said that no reliable public account had established whether alcohol, drugs or another substance played a role.

No public source reviewed for this report has established that another person caused or contributed to Staudt’s death. The available reporting supports describing the case as an ongoing police investigation rather than characterizing it as an accident, suicide or homicide.

Reports have also described the pool as relatively shallow, but that detail does not explain how Staudt entered distress or whether other relevant circumstances were present. The exact sequence of events, including who may have been present at the pool, has not been publicly established.

Online identity and public reaction

Staudt worked as an adult-content creator and used the name Noah Segsy online. Reports identify him as a creator associated with OnlyFans and say that he had built an audience among gay online communities.

The public identification came after users connected the Cyprus death report with the apparent silence of accounts associated with Noah Segsy. That identification was later repeated by international entertainment and LGBTQ+ news outlets.

The reporting concerns the death of an adult performer, but there is no evidence in the sources reviewed that Staudt’s occupation contributed to the drowning. The available evidence establishes his professional identity and the medical cause of death, not a connection between his work and the circumstances in Cyprus.

Support for the family

Reports said that Staudt’s family created a fundraising campaign to help cover the cost of returning his body to Germany and paying funeral expenses. The Pink Times also reported that the campaign was seeking support for repatriation and funeral costs.

The exact fundraising total and the campaign’s current status were not independently verified for this article. No statement from Staudt’s family was identified in the sources reviewed beyond the reported fundraising effort.

What is known and what remains unknown

The established facts are that Staudt was a 22-year-old German national, that he was found unconscious in a pool at an apartment complex in the Paralimni area on August 24, that he was taken to Famagusta General Hospital, and that a post-mortem examination attributed his death to drowning.

The outstanding questions include how Staudt entered distress, whether anyone else was at the pool, and whether pending laboratory testing adds information relevant to the investigation. Until Cypriot authorities release further findings, those questions remain unresolved.
