Hudson Williams to Play Two Roles in Mystery Series 'YAGA'

Hudson Williams will play two characters, Henry and Logan, in the upcoming Crave mystery-thriller series YAGA.

Crave announced the casting development on social media on September 10, posting, “Seeing double? You should be,” before identifying Williams as the actor behind both characters.

The announcement did not provide additional details about Logan, including the character’s relationship to Henry or how the two roles fit into the series’ central mystery.

The reveal is significant because earlier information about YAGA had identified Williams as Henry Park, a young heir whose disappearance drives the series’ investigation.

The Story of YAGA

YAGA follows Rapp, a private investigator played by Noah Reid, who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of Henry Park.

Henry is described as the young heir to a powerful commercial fishery, placing his disappearance within a setting shaped by family, business and the isolated coastal community where the story unfolds.

The series is based on a play by Kat Sandler, although available reports do not establish how closely the television adaptation follows the play or how the newly announced character Logan was developed for the screen.

TV Insider reported that Logan appears to have been created for the television adaptation, while also noting that the series has not released further character information.

Because Crave has confirmed only that Williams plays both Henry and Logan, the narrative connection between the characters remains undisclosed.

Cast and Creative Context

Williams’ YAGA co-stars include Reid, Carrie-Anne Moss and Clark Backo.

Reid plays Rapp, the private investigator at the center of the disappearance investigation.

Moss and Backo are also part of the principal cast, although the September dual-role announcement did not provide expanded information about their characters or their connection to Henry and Logan.

The series is described as a half-hour mystery thriller.

Williams’ casting comes after his prominent role in Heated Rivalry, the Crave series in which he plays professional hockey player Shane Hollander.

The announcement makes YAGA Williams’ next major Crave project, while giving him a substantially different dramatic assignment from the sports-centered romance of Heated Rivalry.

International Distribution

YAGA is scheduled to premiere on Crave in Canada in October 2026.

The series is also set to stream on AMC+ in the United States.

Bell Media has separately announced that YAGA was acquired by Sky for the United Kingdom and Ireland, with additional international territories planned.

The available announcements specify an October release window but do not identify a precise premiere date.

What Remains Unknown

The dual-role casting creates an immediate distinction between the confirmed premise and the unanswered questions surrounding the series.

It is confirmed that Williams plays Henry and Logan, and it is confirmed that Henry’s disappearance is investigated by Rapp.

The production has not publicly explained whether the two characters are related, whether they appear in the same period of the story or whether their identities are connected to the mystery in another way.

Reports have noted that the play on which the series is based may offer contextual clues, but those possibilities are not confirmed details about the television adaptation.

For now, the confirmed news is limited to the casting reveal: Williams is taking on two roles in YAGA, a mystery series headed for Canadian and international audiences this October.
